Finale is a 6 yr old female dairy goat who was presented 7 days ago for posterior ataxia and weakness.
Walked with support once today. 9:40 a.m. Called
owner to tell her goat is slightly worse
today. (Pictures are of Finale and how she was
able to stand the day we visited her.)
Finale is a 6 yr old female dairy goat, presented at OSU 8 days ago for posterior ataxia.
T = 101.3, P = 112, R = 36 She resisted standing up today but once up she walked and stood against the wall for support. Appetite for treats and cookies is good, but not as interested in corn. Attitude is improved, she really perked up yesterday when owner visited.
Finale is better today than yesterday but still slightly worse than 2 days ago. Continue to walk with support three times today.
Dr. Hull felt she was slightly worse today than yesterday, therefore start 1cc Banamine BID, SQ or IM twice today.
Throughout the day finale seems slightly
worse, she is more reluctant to walk. Dr.
Hull wishes to restart Dexamethasone tomorrow morning (5ml /2= 2.5cc) if she is
worse tomorrow.
Finale, 6 yr old female dairy goat, presented at OSU 9 days ago with posterior ataxia, due in February.
T = 100.2, P = 112, R = 60 Appetite
is good. Eats hay and treats very
well, does not finish all of corn. She
moved around dragging her rear in the stall, mostly in a circle. When supported she did two laps around the pen and she seemed
to have more stamina but was not any more coordinated than yesterday.
Finale is ataxic still, but head tremors are almost non existent and she seems to be less weak. Mild improvement over yesterday.
Walked with support three times
Finale is a 6 yr old female dairy goat presented at OSU 10 days ago with Posterior ataxia.
