Established in 1987
Welcome to our web site. We are Doug and Barb Hamric. We have been raising dairy goats since 1987. Our farm is located in the beautiful rolling hill's of South Eastern Ohio. Our herd began with an alpine market wether for our daughters first 4-H project and later she bought a LaMancha market wether who got us hooked on the LaMancha, his name was Bob. In 2001 we decided to sell our Alpines and and stick with the LaMancha's and Experimentals.. We strive for a dairy goat that can milk and show. We feel that the majority of our does do just that.
2004 was not one of our happiest. We lost CH BAR-V REX Elantra, she hemorrhaged after kidding. Then later Wild Card injured his spine we believe from slipping on ice and we were not able to get him better and had to have him euthenized. He was one of my most favorite bucks, was a very gentle giant and sorely missed here. It really took a lot out of us loosing those two animals. Made it very hard to go to shows, as there was just no desire to do so with out them. Plus we had brake problems with the trailer so those two things combined we just did not go to but a couple shows.
We only went to two open shows and one fair show with the herd bring home 2 BUIS, 2 BUOB, 1 BOB, 4 GCH, 6 RGCH, 30 1ST’S, 13 2ND’S and 11 3RD’S. We wish we could of gotten to more shows. We hope next year to go to a lot more shows.
We are no longer on continuous DHIR; we feel our dollar is better spent on linear appraisal. We would do it again if LaMancha’s were in demand for export and got paid a premium dollar for does that milk well. But exports rarely call for LaMancha’s.
We feed the best alfalfa and grass hay available in the area. Grain is fed according to what each animal needs. Minerals & baking soda are made available free choice to them at all times. Our herd is raised on CAE prevention. They get annual CD & T vaccinations and BO-SE as needed.
Our prices are for kids picked up at the farm by the time they are 30 days old. By that time they will have received their CD&T vaccinations and BO-SE. shots.
Shipping, Crates, Airfare, Out of State Health papers are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
A deposit of $50.00 is required to order the kid of your choice. Deposits are non-refundable unless the kid of your choice is not born. Therefore we strongly recommend that you make a second choice.
We reserve Breeders Rights to keep any kid as replacement Stock.
We hope you will consider a Three Springs animal for your herd.
Thank you for your interest and giving us a look.
Sincerely,
