They Are All
Angels
That sound! That sound!
What is that sound?
A crash, an explosion
Then in just minutes the building
falls to the ground.
Walls, ceilings, all kinds of debris
Are under, beside, and on top of me.
Firemen, policemen, rescuers
See?
They are all angels
And they are looking for me.
I'm trapped! I'm stuck!
Oh, how I wish I could
just stand up!
I can hardly wait for one of those angels
to take me by the arm,
Pull me out and protect me
from any more harm.
It is so dark and dusty,
Dust is in my eyes.
As I lie here
I can hear other's moans and cries.
Oh, look I can see my angel's face
it seems!
No! I wake and realize
It was only another dream.
Oh, the pain! Its almost more
than I can bear,
What I would give for just a sip
of water and a breath of fresh air!
I can feel myself fading,
Fading very fast.
I can hear an angel coming
But he goes right on past.
I can hear the angels working
Their poundings and their tings,
Oh, wait! Look! Here comes my angel!
And my angel is wearing wings!
And as I look at her
beautiful face,
She says she's taking me
to a much better place.
Oh, yes! Yes! Heaven is where
I want to go!
But please tell the angels
to keep searching,
There are others down below.
