Click on the flag to hear "O,
Canada"After a year of our usual plague of call-ups and injuries, the Nailers finished in second place in the Northern Division a point behind a red-hot Toledo Storm team. Johnstown, who finished fourth in the regular season was redeemed by sweeping fifth-place Trenton to secure their spot in the race for the Cup.
In the first round of the playoffs, the Nailers faced one of their most-hated rivals, the Reading Royals. After a questionable two opening games of the series, the Nailers went on to beat the Royals and take round one in the Purple Palace to avenge the same being done to us two years ago by the Royals.
Unfortunately, the Johnstown Chiefs were swept by the Toledo Storm in three straight. That sets up Round Two as the Nailers face their long-time nemesis. Let's Go Nailers!
