Bednar earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Jefferson Community
College in Steubenville, Ohio, in 1998. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and
was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa International Honor Society. Bednar
also successfully completed the Writers Digest Schools Fundamentals of
Nonfiction course in 2002.

Year In College Football 1999. He also contributed to the e-book

Awards
& Other Accomplishments
Bednar
won second place for best sports story in the 1996 Ohio Regional
Collegiate Journalism Awards, and was named the eSports Media Group
Author of the Month for June 1998. Bednar is also a former member of the
Rotary Lombardi Award selection committee, helping the Rotary Club of
Houston to honor the best interior lineman in college football each year
from from 1999 to 2001, and was featured as a sportswriting expert in
the book Ready, Aim, Specialize! by Kelly James Enger.
